the most beautiful things in life are not things; they are people and places, memories and pictures. they are feelings and moments, smiles and laughter

A Day at the IKEA

It was such a SUPER FUN time in IKEA!
Ever heard this saying "the times you enjoy wasting, is not time times spent wasted"? Then this one is definitely it! In fact, I was quite overwhelmed since it's my very first visit. Too many inspirations, too many cute little things. Gladly, I went there with my g00fy friends so I think they won't mind me "wow"-ing at every corners :P

I went to IKEA Alam Sutera on Friday afternoon with four of my friends, exactly one day before my birthday, since we don't have any classes aftermath and it's as our refreshment before having to struggle the midterm test that is coming real soon by next week. We had a really good laugh and talk about a lot of things that inspire us—and nah, we don't talk about college stuffs nor assignment nor the jobs we would like to apply later after we graduated, instead we talk about how we would arrange our house, the color palette of the wall, what kind of patterns we would pick for the floor, and etc. Just simply four girls, daydreaming about their dream house. And take a note that we didn't go there to have our photographs taken at the "aesthetic spots", we simply enjoyed each other company. What else could I ask for more in a friendship rather than being really open at each other and deeply honest about everything?

As I was there, I can't help but also think some Tom & Summer scenes in 500 Days of Summer as I saw quite a lot of couple hanging around through the every sections happily; exactly like Tom & Summer.
Other than the fact that they got some really cool and sustainable stuffs like the boxes above that are actually made of cardboard, I would like to praise the interior designer as well because it's the wall and the lightning that actually do the works! <3
the comfiest corner that I found in Living Room section
I think I want to buy 'em all straight and move it my kitchen
veryyy very cute night lamp!
After a tiring and long walk (but super fun!) for more than an hour through sections (started from the Living Room section, straight to the Dining Room, Kitchen, and Bedroom), we decided to take a break and had our late lunch at the IKEA's infamous resto; which I can tell that time, was quite crowded.
finally got a chance to taste the Sweddish Meatballs <3
My review for the food: 10/10! THE FOOD IS CRAZILY DELICIOUS. I had the Sweddish Meatballs, an Egg Tart, and a sip of Cola that afternoon. What makes me happier is that the reasonable price! You can buy exactly like mine for below 100k, my tummy is beyond happy! :D

About the Sweddish Meatballs, I did really think that the meatballs and the sauce somehow felt like the homemade ones, alongside the mashed potato and the vegetables, and the best thing about this dish is the strawberry souce since I didn't see it coming at all! The combination between the sour strawberry souce combined with the salty meatballs' sauce is literally no joke. Would definitely buy it again on my next visit! And oh, the little Sweden flag on top is cute too ♥
the egg tart tastes nice too!
lastly, we bought ourselves the plain ice cream which tastes delightfully fresh!
simply me hanging on a bridge to nowhere. captured by the talented and weird friend of mine
And by the way, I didn't come home empty-handed! See that iconic IKEA's yellow shopping bag? It's not a gimmick nor a property for the sake of my photos, but I actually purchased some stuffs. It's so HARD not to buy anything once you went there, I assure you.
As you can see, I bought the mini container box, a bottle brush, an English-like kitchen duster, and a Vanilla-scented candle—and to surprise you, all of those things above are UNDER 50k! I should've bought more but my friends reminded me that IKEA is so sustain that they don't provide plastic bags, so it's preferably to bring my own shopping bag or purchase theirs. Well that's a good thing and I'm giving my standing ovation for IKEA, indeed such a great place to go wandering around finding inspiration, a great place to have lunch as well, and a great place for environment.

After spending about 4/5 hours full, we decided to go home and it's also almost got me choked to know that the parking fee is totally free! So in love with this place and I'd love to recommend everyone to just go visit this place for a handful of inspirations :-D
