the most beautiful things in life are not things; they are people and places, memories and pictures. they are feelings and moments, smiles and laughter

Module Assignment & Blah

After endless sleepless nights, inevitable eyebags and tired eyes, messy hair, and losing food apetite; here we are finally at the last day of our Module Assignment this semester. As it finished, I would really like to say thank you to all my fellow KU-A friends; you guys are my biggest motivation and thank you for growing up together with me from being an individual person, to a community that relies on each other shoulders.

I must say that this semester, the fifth, is probably the hardest among the past two semester, because for the first time ever we are all challenged to do our OWN Module Assignment alone about Cost Management Analysis in various company. From paper, to presentation. All by ourselves and no group. The lecturer, Mam Yvonne said that she wanted us to develop each of our talents, to maximize our potential, and even if it may seems very hard and quite extreme at the first place, but in the end I realize that it is indeed for good sake. Thank you so much for putting your mind and heart while teaching us, Mam Yvonne! I adore you so much.

Wait, what the heck is Excellent Class? Is it different with the regular ones?

Here's the thing; the Faculty of Economics has their own Excellent Class consists of Accounting and Management students with the proportion 2:1. The students chosen are usually those with the TOEFL higher than 425 or so, and the GPAs far above the average. They believe that we are capable of doing more and capable to lead in Faculty of Economics. Furthermore, if there is any competition or invitation, the Faculty of Economics would preferably call the Excellent Class students first. In addition, we usually use English as the daily conversations, also the quiz, the material, the presentation, and the exams are all presented fairly in English. Yet the difference with the regular ones? Nothing but the final task called "Module Assignment", in which I will explain it to you more detailed below.

So, what is the Module Assignment that everyone is talking about? And why does it even matter?

To put it simple, Module Assignment is a special task arranged for students in Excellent Class so that we don't have to do the final examination of the related subject and instead, the score will be taken from the so-called paper and presentation of the Module Assignment. For each subject, the questions asked and the objectives might be different. This Module Assignment is what differentiate Excellent Class and Regular Class, but that doesn't make us more than them or them less. It's just in Excellent Class, we are trained to work harder because of the assignments given by most of our lecturers, the deadlines, the regular presentation called "PBL Section" or "Program Based Learning Section" of which a section where we examine a problem together using the techniques and methods learnt beforehand.

And to answer why does the Module Assignment even matter and why us, the Niners (we call ourselves that way because our class is limited at the ninth floor only and due to a lot of assignments, we'd rather be in our own study room rather than socializing with the others), is because ITS SCORE. Yes, we no longer do the final exam but instead, we do the Module Assignment. So we have to put our best effort in making the best Module Assignment we could, because it will affect our score (and the GPA).

That's it. I hope you guys get the point! *wink*

Beside the Cost Management, we also do Module Assignment for e-Commerce which is making website (you guys may check our work here) and also Auditing. As for e-Commerce under Mam Rayi's instructions, we build our own fashion online website with the brand "What Women Wear" using Squarespace. It was very fun to get to learn how to do business online, and it made us think to bring it to life one day hahaha amen!

As for the Auditing, we analyze the internal auditing system and process in a company (preferably the government or the public company), so that we will know what makes the internal auditor difference from the external auditors, and what are the things that internal auditors do at work. Again, it is very interesting and we had so much fun in making the Module Assignment. Thank you so much Pak Sudarmadji for lecturing us for the past two terms, there are countless of knowledge that we get from you. And thank you for your patience as well! :'D

Funfact = we finished the paper and presentation right the day before HAHAHA crazy right?! Because that is us; we always procrastinate everything and we are proud of it.

Last but not least, I'm sending virtual hugs and kisses to these 4 beautiful young lady; Karina, Maharani, Aisa, and Ashifa. These people are the ones who are sticking with me through thick and thin, from the very first time in Excellent Class. Now it's been approximately two years of togetherness, and we are doing the best we can in maintaining our GPA as well as our friendship HAHA because things have gone quite rough and on fire lately!
i'm happiest when i'm with them
Thank you so much for being there for me, for picking up my call 24/7 and for struggling together though basically everything and it's not just the college shits. Thank you for letting me experience both adventure and home with you guys, because I know it might not be all smiles and laughter but also tears and sweat. I know that we struggle from different problems, and it drift us away sometimes but I thank God we always manage to find our way back together. Our friendship is like a roller coaster; it has its own ups and downs but despite everything that happens to us, I tenderly love you and I couldn't imagine what would I be without the four of you. More than friends, I consider all of you as sisters.

Sate RSPP, yay!

Halo!

Super yummy!
